The Position:

On a state-by-state basis, Access manages distribution through a carefully appointed and managed network of independent insurance agents on the front end, while providing policy and customer service, along with claims processing, on the back end.
Access General Insurance Company, a growing non-standard auto insurance carrier, is seeking an experienced investigator to investigate auto property damage and bodily injury claims in the metro Los Angeles area.
The qualified candidate will work from their home and conduct field investigations in the Los Angeles area while supporting our Orange, California office and the home office in Atlanta, Ga.
The selected candidate will work with management to provide fraud and investigative training to our adjusters and represent Access General at IASIU and NICB meetings in the Los Angeles area.
They will direct or conduct Examinations Under Oath and/or secure detailed recorded statements from insureds, claimants and witnesses.
The selected investigator will coordinate investigations with Law Enforcement, California Department of Insurance Fraud, and Defense Counsel.
The selected investigator will prepare and submit detailed in-depth reports, including analysis, documentation of facts and evidence.
The Requirements:
This position requires a disciplined individual with a thorough knowledge of property casualty (Auto) insurance and Insurance Fraud.
Experience in identifying fraud and implementing an effective investigation, in line with California DOI expectations and requirements and in accordance with Insurance Law, to develop the factual evidence needed to confirm fraud or the facts of the individual claim is required.
The qualified candidate should have knowledge of the various government and professional agencies, bureaus and boards which provide identification and licensing information. The position requires a working knowledge of medical terminology and practices.
The investigator must have good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to conduct detailed interviews of required subjects.
Ingenuity, creativity, strong work ethic, along with good organizational skills and the ability to work independently from the office, is a must for the selected candidate.
A four year degree, 3-4 years auto claims experience, and prior SIU experience with an Insurance company is a must. Previous law enforcement experience is a plus.
