Job Description
We are seeking an experienced professional to fill a Senior .NET/SQL Developer position in our Mayfield, Ohio office. You will help plan, design, develop, test, debug, and deploy highly-available applications using the .NET Framework 2.0/3.0 and SQL Server technologies.
An ideal candidate will be an extremely proficient .NET developer, and will be comfortable handling new challenges involving emerging technologies. You will be part of a very successful team that is responsible for an industry changing web application. We have a terrific office work environment and we also offer the opportunity to work from home part of the week.
In support of new development efforts and enhancements involving this business critical system, your primary responsibilities would include:
• Performing .NET development
• Interacting with the business team to assist with gathering requirements for development
• Consider and research emerging technologies to improve current applications, architectures and processes
• Performing unit and QA testing
• Assisting with deployment
Required qualifications include:
• .NET (VB.net or C#) experience
• Solid SQL development experience
• Prior work experience as a senior .NET developer or team lead
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Unit-testing, diagnosing, and debugging code issues
• Excellent communication skills
• Firm understanding of user-oriented software development (Usability, managing expectations, etc)
• Will be a true team player with a commitment to success
Preferred qualifications include:
• Technical lead experience
• A background in the insurance industry
• Exposure to Microsoft Visual Studio Team Systems
