The Context:

The hiring company has a large and stable internal SAP team of around 100 fulltime employees that for the last 15+/- years has been supporting the company's SAP infrastructure, and implementing new modules to support the company's continuing expansion world-wide. The SAP HR module was implemented in early 2007 and now a brand new SAP-HR team is being formed within the IT department to support it. The SAP HR Time Management Functional professional will become a critical part of this "high visibility" team.

The Job:

The person we hire will be challenged with helping form and/or lead the growth of this new SAP HR team. Initially, the focus will be on leading (or co-leading) the continuous stabilization and enhancement of the SAP HR Time Management implementation. You will be responsible for all major areas of improvement within the SAP "Time Management" module, with the help of additional consultants when/if needed. You will need to understand the issues, propose solutions and enhancements, implement, test and communicate solutions to the highest levels of HR and IT management. Approximately 3-6 months later, once all the initial stabilization goals have been met, you will begin working with IT management to continue building a solid SAP HR team that will take on future HR implementations, expansions, enhancements, etc.

Technical skills required:

--Strong knowledge of the integration points between Time and Payroll

--Expert ability to develop and maintain complex schema with custom rules for overtime, shift premiums, consecutive day overtime, STD/FMLA, and rounding rules

--Strong knowledge in the configuration of work schedules, absence/attendance types, wage type generation and substitutions

--Strong knowledge in the configuration of quotas: entitlement (earned and accrued), deductions, payouts and quota compensation

--Strong knowledge in time entry and evaluation of both positive and negative time recording, error resolution and reporting

--Strong knowledge of Time Manager**s Workplace and CATS profiles

--Familiarity with interfaces from external time collection systems such as Kronos

--Must demonstrate ability to solve complex issues quickly and creatively

--Ability to review a complex problem and present a summary of options, benefits and risks to be considered

--Experience with global organizations desirable

--Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision

--Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines

--Ability to escalate issues in a timely fashion

--Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills to communicate with non-technical clients, IT professionals, and management

--Strong customer focus: Ability to effectively interface with and support clients including being able to interact with all levels of the organization

--Ability to analyze business requirements and develop and maintain complex time schema with custom rules for union and non-exempt employees

--Ability to provide end-user and advanced level training and communicate new functionality to appropriate levels in the organization

--Ability to operate comfortably in both technical and business process situations

Education:

--BS Degree, preferably in a technical discipline or the relevant functional discipline (Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics, Finance) and/or equivalent years of business experience

--Post-graduate degree in a technical desirable
