Job Description:
Cobalt—a leading provider of online retailing and search engine marketing
solutions for the automotive industry—seeks an Account Executive for our Dallas
territory. Account Executives establish and cultivate assigned
field-based territories through effective prospecting and solution selling
strategies, relationship management, and superior customer
service. An effective Cobalt AE must be a self-starter who can consistently
maintain a thorough, up-to-date knowledge of Cobalt products, processes
and procedures. As a Cobalt AE you must be able to secure and deliver highly
effective sales presentations, conduct negotiations, close sales,
and serve as a technology solutions expert to help dealerships achieve their
online retailing and CRM business goals using Cobalt products.
Work from home, full benefits, salary and
commissions 150k+.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sell Cobalt’s full
suite of products to new and existing customers.
* Build and maintain
customer relationships as the principal Cobalt field contact.
*
Meet Cobalt’s sales quota and customer retention goals.
*
Communicate proactively with dealers via email, phone and in-store
visits.
* Act as consultant to top management at dealerships and
drive acceptance of Cobalt online retailing and CRM principles and practices
at all levels within assigned account base.
* Review, critique,
and discuss dealer business practices as they relate to Cobalt
solutions.
* Communicate daily activities and market conditions to
Regional Manager.
* Submit complete orders that can be handed off
to appropriate teams for implementation.
* Support OEM
launches/initiatives; assist with OEM meetings/high-level
presentations.
* Implement and manage territory plan to maximize
sales and travel.
* Enter and update prospect information
and activity in database.
* Attend Sales department
conference calls and meetings.
* Complete appropriate sales
reporting and forecasting as required.
* Communicate any product
issues to eCare and the Regional Manager.
* Maintain a report of existing
competitor’s products in dealerships.
* Maintain communication
with Inside Sales team to maximize their efforts.
Required Skills
* 5+ years in a field-based territory sales position selling technology
solutions and/or 5+ years in automotive retail.
* 3+ years building and
maintaining a customer account base. (Strong references required).

Advanced knowledge of automotive online (and/or offline) marketing solutions and
strategies including websites, search engine optimization (SEO),
search engine marketing (SEM), email marketing and CRM preferred.

Proven success in achieving sales quota.
* Proven ability to develop new
business and secure new customers.
* Demonstrated experience with
solutions selling and a high aptitude for learning.
* Proven ability to
build and maintain a field territory plan with proven prospecting skills.
* Demonstrated skills in the area of business advising and customer
relationship building.
* Excellent organizational skills,
superior time management strategies and the ability to work
with minimal supervision from a remote office.

Demonstrated passion for selling in a fast-paced, challenging
position.
* Proven ability to make effective individual and group sales
presentations.
* Proven ability to negotiate sales terms
and close sales at the executive level.
* Dedicated team
player with a desire to assist with team leadership.
* Proficiency with
MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
* A
Cobalt AE must be able to drive14+ hours per week (daylight/dark) and spend an
average of 4 days per week in the field. AEs must have a valid driver’s license
and reliable transportation.
