Network Services/Support (#4351879) Posted: 04/09/2008 POUGHKEEPSIE, NY USA - Starts: 05/05/2008 Ends: 05/05/2009 Description: *WORK LOCATION* This position is generally for remote, work at home support but, from time to time, travel to sites local or near to Poughkeepsie, NY, will be required - Seeking qualified Network Support consultant to provide 24x7 support of major client system and its related customers **Utilize Cisco technology/equipment including the following: - Cisco routers, including 60xx and 45xx series, as well as Catalyst MSFCs - Cisco CSS (Content Service Switch), including 115xx series - Cisco Switches, including 29xx series, as well as RPS - Cisco Pix and IOS Firewall configuration and troubleshooting. Must also be very familiar with Grouping and Access List creation - Cisco AAA services with TACACS, and implementing SSH support on networking devices *Will also utilize experience with the following: - Checkpoint / Nokia Firewall support with basic Unix Skills - Juniper / Netscreen Firewalls installation along with general functionality - LAN protocols, Gigabit Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Ethernet, VLANs and Private VLANs, Layer 3 switches, and 802.1Q trunking - VPN tunnels with IPSec (DES, 3DES, and AES) - QoS knowledge and experience with traffic policing/rate-limiting, traffic shaping, congestion management, congestion avoidance, network capacity planning, and application performance analysis across the WAN - Network troubleshooting and traffic analysis knowledge and experience with a packet level analyzer (Sniffer, Ethereal, Network General, etc.) is important - Review and analyze firewall logs and syslogs - Ability and willingness to mentor / work with other engineers as a Subject Matter Expert is extremely helpful Requirements: - Good written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills - Must be highly self motivated and directed - Must have a keen attention to detail - Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities - Ability to effectively prioritize and execute task - Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment - Willingness to be on-call in a 24x7 rotation Skills:
