Job Description
Strategic Comp, a subsidiary of Great American Insurance, has an immediate need to fill our open loss control consultant position for the territory covering Tennessee. Duties include working in a team environment to assist a book of insureds in controlling their insurance premiums through the use of aggressive loss prevention and claims management techniques. The key focus of all efforts is on the prevention of accidents and injuries, emphasizing employee participation, education, and supervisor accountability through the use of creative solutions to specific problems. Another important responsibility is providing technical assessments and cultural evaluations to our Underwriting Department to ensure the profitability of every business partnership. Methods utilized include development and implementation of: Accident Prevention Incentives, Supervisor Accountability Programs, Culture Development, Ergonomic Programs, New Employee Orientation, Hiring Practices, Safety Committee Development, Off the Job Safety Programs, Compliance Programs, Safe Behavior Management, and Accident/Incident Investigation.
The consultant is provided a company vehicle for company travel, will work from home, and needs to reside in Tennessee. We require a college degree and a background that includes at least five years as an employee in the Loss Control department of a WC insurance company.
