Experience/Qualifications: Successful candidate will have minimum of two years of hospital coding experience and knowledge of ICD-9-CM, CPT, coding clinic guidelines, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and pharmacology preferred. .
Duties and Responsibilities of the Job:
Coding/HIMS
A coding specialist is responsible for the review of patient records and selection of accurate codes, sequencing of codes and abstraction of pertinent clinical data for hospital inpatient and outpatient stays. Experienced coder will have the potential to work from home after training period.
