a Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:aAbility to read and communicate in the English language.a

a EDUCATION:aHigh school graduate or equivalent.aCompletion of medical terminology course and/or anatomy and physiology.aRHIT preferred., CCS or CCA required within one year of employment.

a EXPERIENCE:aOne to two years experience in computer entry and knowledge of Windows preferred.aOne year Experience withaICD-9-CM and CPT-4 Code assignments preferred.aCoding students considered, however, must pass competency coding test. Experience with 3M Coding and Reimbursement System preferred. Computer experience required. CPT E&M Coding experience preferred. a Pending the introductory period, Coder Abstractor may work from home.
