AIX Unix Administrator Job Description:
TEKsystems in Plymouth Meeting, PA is looking for a UNIX Administrator with AIX, for a contract opportunity with one of our clients located in Newark, DE.
This person should have at least five years of large system experience along with the following background:
* Upgrading from AIX 5.2 to 5.3
* Building servers using NIM
* Applying maintenance releases
* EMC storage experience
* Scripting a plus
Daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Building and maintaining servers along with supporting multiple other projects.
There may be some weekend work required, but this is very limited.
This client is second to none in regards to opportunity for individuals who want to do well. They ask the consultants to focus on the project at hand and to ensure that there are positive interactions in every way. Additionally, once the project is successfully completed, the client makes every attempt to re-deploy the consultant within the company for other projects. It can turn into a long term opportunity for the right person.
There is also the opportunity to work from home on occasion for the right individual.
