Job Description
InSource, Inc. is currently seeking an Access Programmer for a permanent job opportunity located in Center City.
This role comes with an excellent benefit package including a pension plan and the potential to work from home.
Responsibilities:
· Support new and on-going client/server applications, as directed by senior programmer
· Prototype new screens, features, functions, databases and / or reports
· Develop ad hoc queries to monitor quality of data and respond to special user requests
· Transfer data to and from SQL Server
· Adapt existing application objects to new projects
· Develop new application objects based on existing templates, as needed
· Test new applications on user PCs, including connectivity and security behavior
· Participate in application design meetings
· Recognize, report and address scheduling conflicts or implementation problems
· Estimate and document implementation time for each major task
· Develop and maintain technical documentation
· Assist user support group in resolving application-related problems
· Protect confidential data and company resources
Requirements:
· Familiar with Microsoft Office and Windows
· Familiar with health and social services terminology (preferred)
EXPERIENCE:
· At least two years of computer science work experience
· At least two years work programming in Access with VBA, or in VB
· At least two years work in SQL using MS SQL Server (preferred) or another relational DBMS
EDUCATION DESIRED:
BS in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent.
