Inside Sales Executive

We have a new opportunity for an inside sales professional. If you are self-motivated and can close on the phone, you will make more money than you ever thought possible.

VON (Voice &Video on the Net) Magazine (www.vonmag.com) is a technology trade publication focused on VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). In other words, dealing with the migration of phone calls, video and TV onto the Internet, (like Vonage). (Which means our advertisers are from both the computer and telecom industries) "IP Communications" is a $30 billion industry growing 30+% per year.

Founded 4 years ago, we first published bi-monthly. In 2005 we doubled our frequency to monthly. We now have over 60,000 subscribers in 160 countries and editors on 4 continents. We are incredibly well respected at the CxO level of industry. Our covers feature interviews with Fortune 500 CEOs, Chairman of the FCC and industry billionaires.

Our advertisers and prospects are some of the largest telecom and technology companies on the planet, (including: AT&T, Avaya, Global Crossing, Intel, Microsoft, Polycom, Siemens and Verizon) plus several hundred smaller companies you've never heard of. But that doesn't matter, because they all, already spend tens-of-thousands of dollars with us annually. Our sister company VON Events (www.von.com) has been producing VON trade shows globally for a decade. (Be sure to read the Exhibitor lists.)

You won t be cold calling from some directory. Our advertisers are already our exhibitors. We know who they are and who makes the decisions. You will be closing our existing customers. To start, you will sell our Buyers Guide, eNewsletters and MarketPlace.

The position is located in your home office. VON Magazine is a virtual company, with its HQ in Tucson, back office on Long Island, writers and editors in 6 countries with EiC in VA, Traffic in NYC, Design and Layout in SFO and printing in Quebec. We move fast and have fun! (What we don t have, are a lot of staff meetings, forms, and water-coolers.) You will report to our Director of WW Advertising Sales. You will travel 2-3X per year to our trade shows.

Responsibilities include:
- Qualify, develop and close existing customers and prospects. (This is not: Prospecting where you cold-call companies who likely have never heard of your organization.) Every company you will contact either: a) already buys something from us, or b) has contacted us, to make a purchase.
- Deliver a strong value proposition, understanding prospect s business as related to VON Publishing s offerings and why they should be advertising/marketing with us.
- Participate in and follow-up from marketing activities designed to generate interest in the products you will be selling.

Requirements
- 2+ years advertising sales experience.
- Very strong communication and listening skills. Possess the ability to establish rapport over the phone and clearly articulate our value proposition.
- Experience in inside sales with a high concentration of outbound calls is a plus
- Experience working from home is also a plus

Comp Plan: Great Base, Superb Commission and Bonus. You will earn the kind of money you want.... Close for us and the sky's the limit.
