Job Description
IMMEDIATE NEED!!! Client has an immediate need for a Regional Sales Manager. Base salary is 60-65k; unlimited commission pay is available. The selected candidate will work from a home office and should ideally be located in the state of Washington or Oregon. The overall role is to grow sales of factory automation products to direct customers and through distribution. The sales territory includes the following states: Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico. The West Coast manager will work from his or her home and manage travel and expense budgets. The successful candidate will have a B.A./B.S., Sales, Marketing, and/or Engineering degree, a minimum of 5 years direct sales experience in the controls industry, the ability to apply technical products, and knowledge of industrial controls. Responsibilities will include: Travel throughout the territory to call on key accounts and manage distributors; Grow sales to meet yearly sales targets; Maintain a database of key customer opportunities; Submit new product ideas for consideration; Launch new products to the channel and key customers; Conduct distributor product training; Focus on key market segments; Build a knowledge base of competition; Develop a territory market plan that describes key growth objectives and strategy; Manage customer situations to ensure satisfaction; Promote the company and products in a professional and ethical manner.
