The Aftermarket Regional Sales Manager is the division's prime contact with aftermarket customers in assigned territory. Personally visits distributors dealers and and users to promote sales, representing Stanadyne in a positive manner. Implements strategies to be used with each customer, and keeps management informed regarding customers and the marketplace. The product is Stanadyne's proprietary line of diesel fuel additives, to diesel engine-related parts distributors, dealers, and users.
The position is a home-office based field sales position. Location is not critical, but must be within easy reach of major airport, and ideally near to major markets.
Visits current and prospective distributors to promote sales. Continually seeks new markets and distributors for existing products, and investigates additional products to add to the lines. Implements previously agreed strategies with each customer. May travel up to 80% of the time.
Gains thorough knowledge about each customer and the marketplace, and prepares reports to be used in developing strategy. Acts as "eyes and ears" of the division, and identifies potential sales opportunities.
Makes technical and commercial presentations in distributors meetings. Assists Sales &Marketing Manager in the expansion of product sales to new and existing customers. Develops and disseminates information about customers and the marketplace to manager and upper management as required. Assists in the preparation of forecasts and the development of business plans and market strategies as required.
May assist in the development of sales and product literature and/or advertising and sales promotion programs.
Associate Degree or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years in diesel engine or fuel injection equipment field and/or experience in sales of parts or services to dealers, distributors, users, vehicle fleets etc.
Prime experience requirement is SELLING of non-captive service parts or services to these markets. Knowledge of diesel engines or fuel systems is an advantage, but not required.
