JOB DESCRIPTION .
Magazine publisher seeks experienced sales person to handle accounts for international magazine and tradeshow. This is a growth opportunity with a 15-year-old trade title, with readership across the globe, and a tradeshow in the U.S.
Most accounts for this position are in the US, but some in Asia. Sales rep will be expected to travel for about 45 days a year, including at least one trip overseas. The sales rep will handle around 250 accounts and sell magazine display ads, tradeshow sponsorships, and website sponsorships.
We are looking for someone with at least 5 years of advertising sales experience, strong verbal and written skills, self-starter and positive personality, and excellent customer service skills. The company is based in San Diego, but we are considering candidates who would work from home, so long as the person would be able to spend 30 days a year in our primary office.
Position has a base salary plus commission and bonuses. Combined compensation should be in $65,000 to $90,000 range. Benefits include health care, dental, life insurance, 8 paid Holidays, 10 vacation days, flex days, and 401(k)/Retirement.
