Seeking a Quality Improvement Coordinator for this leading managed care facility. The QI Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that members receive the medical diagnosis coding with respect to the medical records. Additional responsibilities include ensuring that members receive the required preventive services appropriate for their age, gender and other accepted demographics. Responsibilities of the QI Coordinator include:
Coordinating the collection of medical records ensuring that review is conducted in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Coordinating the performance of quality of care investigations
Providing support to the Senior Clinical Quality Manager and the VP of Quality Improvement on all clinical and other appropriate activities
Monitoring and analyzing trended data used in the QI process and identify opportunities to improve delivery of health care services
Monitoring activities in the cycle of continuous quality improvement
Participating in the annual CQI planning
3-15 years of relevant experience
RN/CSW
Quality improvement experience
Knowledge of NCQA, QISMC and URAC standards
HEDIS/QARR knowledge
Computer skills .
Managed care experience
Medical coding .
