Skills Required; The most important qualification in being a program consultant with Raising Safety is being friendly, supportive and very professional minded. Having previous experience in customer service, selling products to businesses and/or non-profits and cold calling techniques is helpful but not required. Because Raising Safety program consultants are their own boss and work from home with no direct supervision, they need to be self disciplined and able to manage themselves. Also because they work from home, program consultants need to have regular computer access, be comfortable with computer technology and comfortable with contacting existing and prospective clients. The Raising Safety client support office provides full support and assistance to program consultants anytime they need it.
Job Details; The centerpiece to Raising Safety s excellent customer service is our quality program consultants. Raising Safety is a company that focuses solely on helping non-profit groups such as middle and high school bands, civic clubs, youth groups, church groups, little league sport programs, and so on, raise money with first aid and safety kits.
Program consultants are very important to us and we are very cautious about who we enlist as a part of our team. In our program consultants we are looking for persons who are very people orientated and customer conscious. Program consultants must be detail oriented and problem solvers, have a pleasant demeanor, and really enjoy helping people. Our program consultants work with our clients from start to finish on each fundraising campaign. They explain how our fundraising programs work, assist the client group in selecting the best campaign strategy for their group and provide ideas and suggestions that will help the client succeed as well as supporting the client group throughout the entire fundraising campaign cycle. Program consultants are also expected to reach out to new client prospects.
Currently our program consultants come from all walks of life from work-at-home moms, sales professionals, and retirees to college students, all looking to either work full or part time helping non-profits. Raising Safety uses a very productive, cost effective and time efficient way for both the client and program consultant. Through Raising Safety s innovative and cutting edge client relations management and support tool, program consultants work with client groups virtually. Using this dynamic and user friendly tool, program consultants talk with client groups over the phone, though the internet, on conference calls and web meetings. To insure quality support to the group, program consultants are paid based on a percentage of what the client raises and can do quite well based on how well the program consultant supports the group.
Special note for college students: If you are still enrolled in school, the main requirement we ask is that you are enrolled in or have taken business classes such as Marketing and Public Relations.
