MDM Principal Consultant
This job is work at home and can live anywhere MDM Principals own the selling and delivery of MDM Solution Services. They are the primary Client Advocate for MDM services and ensure that achievable implementation expectations are set during the sales cycle . Principals are responsible for delivering on those expectations once contracts are signed. Principals contribute to successful new services and software sales by working with the IBM Client team or IBMs Strategic Partners during new license sales to Apply industry experience with IBMs MDM experience to individual client needs to define workable implementation plans; Understand and effectively communicate how MDM solutions impact customers operations and ROI drivers; Differentiate IBM from competitors by demonstrating how IBMs experience reduces client risks; Create competitive services proposals and contracts; Negotiate and close services opportunities. Principals also contribute to follow-on sales of both license and service revenue by Working with the on-site project team to successfully complete each project thereby ensuring that they are referencable; Participating regularly in project meetings, quality reviews, and sponsor meetings to help sell MDM knowledge; Representing the client into IBMs R&D organization to get potential customer enhancements on product roadmaps; Teaming with the IBM Client Team and client sponsors to create and execute on an overall MDM roadmap and therefore help extend utilization of IBMs software and services to a broader portion of the organization. Requirements include: Prior experience as a Consulting Director for a software vendor is an asset; Prior work experience in a Professional Services organization is an asset; Minimum of 7 years project management experience is required; Experience running large engagements at Financial Services, Retail or CPG organizations; Java and OOA/OOD experience and UML knowledge are considered an asset; Minimum of 10 years of related Industry experience; MDM, CDI, PIM and SOA domain knowledge is an asset; Demonstrated ability to work with Fortune 100 companies on multi-million dollar projects, coordinating and cooperating with several vendors in order to successfully get to end of job, while protecting IBMs interest; Experience within a technical environment; Knowledge and/or practical understanding of the difference between a client engagement and an R&D or theoretical initiative. Need to make decisions when dont always have 100% of information or even when the decision does not give you the perfect solution, but the right one for the client; Through experience can clearly demonstrate and deliver on the understanding of the client, the importance of delivering products on time, on budget and with strong quality and customer satisfaction.; Sales experience to senior management an asset.
