Firewall Engineer Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Cisco Firewall Engineer who can work remotely from their own home.
Network Security Engineer needed to design/deploy/support-firewalls/network security infrastructures.
Contractor will be expected to work with the existing firewall engineering team to assist in reducing the ISR backlog and resolve new ISR requests.
Technical Environment: Cisco PIX products and Nokia checkpoint/crossbeam products.
Typical work hours: 8-5
Normal 8-5 shift, but must be
able to work nights and possible weekends if problems occur.
Expected Duration of Assignment: 6 months with a strong possibility of becoming permanent at the end of the initial duration.
"Must Haves"
3-5 years experience with firewall engineering.
Strong experience configuring/deploying firewall solutions utilizing Cisco PIX, Nokia/Checkpoint and Crossbeam/Checkpoint X
series firewall products.
LAN/WAN experience required.
Pluses: Any Cisco certifications.
Soft skills essential for this assignment: (communication skill, problem solving skills, presentation skills, etc.)
Quick learner who can work independently with minimal guidance.
Strong communication skills required.
