This individual will provide leadership, direction, guidance, and support to the store leadership team regarding short and long-term planning, key business performance metrics, merchandising, inventory replacement, profitability, sales, company objectives, people development and customer service themes. Responsibilities will include developing and training teams for store leadership; maximizing store sales and profit volume; review store environments and key business indicators within the district to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement; create district implementation plans; ensure company standards are uniformly met; drive the implementation of company programs; oversee and hire store managers; and prepare and manage store budgets. You will visit stores and the corporate office regularly, and maintain effective and professional channels of communications. Position can work from home, but must live in the Mid-Atlantic District (Includes Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware).
5-10 years experience required including multi-store management and specialty store manager experience. Excellent leadership, verbal and written communication, analytical and people skills are also necessary, along with experience in operational control (P &L) with proven record of payroll cost control, a high degree of self-motivation with the ability to organize and prioritize, the ability to react quickly to changing demands and conditions, and to think independently and to respond with a sense of urgency to corporate directives. Good computer (Word, Excel) skills is also required.
