Datawarehouse Architect
Person can work from home but 100% travel will be require to different customer sites Monday to Friday.
Ideally the candidate should be available to travel to various customer sites anywhere in the U.S. to perform 1-3 month assessments. Work combines customer site and at home work. Travel would be Mon-Fri.
Requirements:
10-15 years industry experience delivering data warehouse solutions, strong experience working with business users gathering/documenting business requirements, data analysis, data modeling, data architect roles.
Should have hands-on project experience designing, developing and delivering data warehouse solutions.
Overall we need to find an excellent DATA WAREHOUSE ARCHITECT who had "architected data solutions".
Ideally would have experience working with Teradata or Very Large Database systems.
Responsibilities:
This person needs to act in 3 different capacities:
As a Business Analyst, the IA will work directly with the business users to understand their overall business needs and objectives and then translate them into what kind of information (data) they need to obtain to meet these needs/objective. And - how they need to access/acquire this information.
As a Data Analyst, the IA uses the requirements obtained from the business users to determine:
What data they need
Which source systems the data resides in
What is the quality of the current data available? Here they address issues concerning: data profiling, data stewardship, data governance.
As a Data Modeler, the IA needs to create a logical data model.
