A Seattle-based medical company with a facility in Anchorage, Alaska is looking for a Contract Manager. Responsibilities will include:
Analyzing terms of new and existing risk and non-risk contracts.
Providing direction to internal operational and support staff on parameters of contract.
Developing and maintaining an appropriate ancillary network, evaluating feasibility of new providers and effectiveness of existing providers, and maintaining a list of providers for use by internal staff.
Overseeing and directing implementation and maintenance of administrative data.
Representing the company in internal and external business meetings.
Maintaining productive relationships with payers and health plan contractors.
Assisting with provider relations activities as needed.
Managing contracting projects as directed by the VP.
Managing the departments administrative staff as needed.
Performing other duties as requested.
This position needs someone who is professional and articulate and who believes in strong, proactive communication. Candidates must have a BA Degree with a major in finance, administration, or a related field. Direct experience with health care contracting in an acute care setting is preferred. This position is such that Candidates may work from home if they choose, yet they must be available for meetings and staff contact. The salary is $60-69K per year commensurate with experience.
