Compliance Engineer
Do you enjoy working with Design Engineering to ensure products meet regulatory agency EMC and safety requirements such as CE Mark,UL, CSA, and SEMI S2? This is a challenging opportunity to use that knowledge!
Essential Duties:
Performs laboratory testing and documents notes of testing for verification to agencies.
Manages declaration of compliance and tracks information in database.
Tracks Request for change/Engineering change orders.
Audits products and processes for compliance with standards.
Assists in marketing products by meeting with customers to understand and satisfy customer compliance requirements.
Ensures smooth and legally sound processes for making manufactured product and for completing declarations.
Consults with design engineers early in the product development cycle to identify potential EMC and safety problem areas and recommends solutions.
Involves design team for new product compliance throughout the process in order to reduce CE turns.
Participates in the SEMI Compliance Standards Committee.
Hosts compliance audits.
Trains Design Engineers on compliance standards.
Skills:
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to present issues clearly and diplomatically.
Strong presentation skills.
Excellent PC skills, including intermediate level word processing, spreadsheet, and data base knowledge. Prefer Microsoft products.
Ability to effectively prioritize workload and keep customers informed of status of projects.

Requirements
Experience:
Minimum of two to four years of design-related experience, preferably with knowledge of safety regulatory issues, including UL, CSA, and VDE-especially for European CE requirements.
Minimum of two to four years of EMC experience in a design and test capacity, preferably with knowledge of EMC regulatory issues, including CE and FCC requirements.
Experience identifying and selecting safety critical components and safety related engineering chance order activities.
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
