Position Description
Act as lead interface between AG sales team, AG counsel and India Contracts &Negotiation (C&N) resources. In this capacity:
(1) Create training materials and risk matrices for use in C&N work and be primarily responsible for initial training
(2) Receive contract summaries from India team
(3) Field questions from India team; provide education and mentoring to India team as appropriate
(4) Manage work assigned to India team to ensure budget is adhered to or additional resource requirements are identified.
(5) Proactively look for opportunities to leverage India team to provide additional support to AG sales team or Lenovo legal department. If India team has ability to perform functions on behalf of Lenovo sales teams, identify that opportunity to appropriate AG line management for consideration and appropriate decision-making.
Advise sales management on business risk impact based of contract provisions. Recommend negotiation strategy for each sales contract (points to raise, points to accept) based on India input.
Lead complex customer negotiations on legal topics.
Coordinate with global contract development team to develop/revise model sales agreements as appropriate.Position Requirements
(1) Knowledge of Lenovo sales practices
(2) Knowledge of Lenovo Americas operations
(3) Knowledge of Lenovo international sales contracting
(4) Ability to analyze business and legal risks in conjunction with counsel and effectively communicate those to senior management and counsel
(5) Ability to negotiate complex legal and business issues with customers without significant involvement from attorneys.
(6) Willingness to travel as required (to customer locations and to India will be required)
(7) JD preferred but not required
(8) Position can be located offsite (work at home)
