Fortune 200 company seeks an excellent Sales professional to take charge of the 7 state Western region for one of its manufacturing business units. This company is a manufacturer of materials sold into the transportation/refrigerated trucking industry. This is a new position designed to provide more intense sales coverage for an underserved area. As Western Territory Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Create and implement a strategy to increase sales within the specified geographic territory.
- Take over an established account base and increase sales within those accounts.
- Nurture and develop National Accounts based in the territory.
- Develop new business by uncovering new opportunities through cold calling, networking within the market sector, attending trade shows, use of the internet and business directories.
- Travel approximately 60% to customers within the territory.
- Work from a home office setting.
This position reports to the National Sales Manager.
Compensation includes base salary and incentive bonus.
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- 5 Year minimum industrial sales experience.
- National Account experience.
- Proven track record of successful territory development. Strong closing skills are critical.
- Background in either packaging or transportation industries a strong plus.
- Marketing skills.
- Experience negotiating price, terms and conditions.
- Ability to travel 60%.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Driven, focused, energetic.
