The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the definition and design of the enterprise architectures for our clients, with a focus on application and system development technologies. This includes the design and development of the project roadmap and the recommendation and design of IT systems for hardware, software, and network technologies. The selected individual will also need to ensure that technical reviews of all applications developed follow the defined roadmap and are effectively designed in relation to the architecture. Experience working and interfacing at the C-level needed. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable presenting technical design, technical solutions and enterprise architecture solutions to clients/customers. Candidate should have excellent knowledge of E-Business solutions and implementations and should be familiar with standard E-Business frameworks and models. Prior responsibility delivering final development of complex e-business solutions is a must. Experience working with an offshore company preferred but not required. Candidate should be process-minded with a strict regard to detail.
Qualifications &Requirements:
~10+ years experience in Information Technology.
5-10 years of experience in the design and development using Systems Development Life Cycle and Project Management Methodologies.
In depth knowledge and experience in several of the following areas:
IBM Mainframe systems and applications, systems integration (EAI/ETL Tools) Especially TIBCO and SeeBeyond, operations and support processes (Change Control, QA and Testing, etc.), development of international applications (Methods to account for language, currency, encryption, etc.), remote access solutions and technologies, Object-Oriented Design, Web Services, messaging solutions and technologies, messaging and transaction management.
In depth knowledge and experience in several of the following technologies:
COM+, ASP, Visual Basic, .NET, C/C++, Java/J2EE, RDBMS, MS SQL, Oracle, DB2, Unix, Linux, WinTel, IBM Mainframe, Scripting, Internet Technologies, IBM WebSphere Suite (Hosted on mainframe a plus), SOAP, XML.
Bachelors Degree required, MBA with several years of work experience preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
Strong presentation skills required.
Ability and willingness to travel extensively (80% or more)
Additional Guidelines:
Projects should have been a minimum of 20,000 hours (e.g., 10 people for a year) and they must have been the lead technologist. They should have been on the project from start to finish
What are the minimum skills required for all qualified candidates, i.e.
o Type/nature of previous employer - Consulting firm, need to have client facing skills.
o Central role played in projects? The lead architect for the project that was delivered was with project from startup to roll-out.
Fundamental responsibilities/accountabilities including final output of projects. Oversaw all architectural aspects of solution; developed plans, conceptual/logical/physical architectures; lead architecture team consisting of infrastructure, data, and application competencies
