Allegis Communications, Inc. is a fast-paced, growing company with exclusive contracts with some of the top U.S. insurance companies transcribing recorded interviews. Our offices are located in Georgetown, south of downtown Seattle (moving to north Tukwila May 2007.) APPLICANTS MUST LIVE IN THE GREATER SEATTLE AREA.
Allegis is currently seeking full-time and part-time experienced transcriptionists for our growing team. We offer a flexible, casual, and team work environment with work-at-home opportunities
Our part-time transcriptionists (20-29 hours/week) work from home, coming to our office for a short training period (2 days) and then come to the office approximately 2 days per week to pick up tapes.
Our full-time transcriptionists (30-40 hours/week) work in our offices exclusively to start with the opportunity to work from home 2-3 days per week after 6 months of employment.
Allegis employees are paid on an hourly basis, with our top performers earning an average of $18 per hour.

Requirements:
* 1 or more years training or experience in the field of transcription or steno
* Ability to type 75+ words per minute on a standard keyboard or the ability to write at 160 wpm or above on a shorthand machine
* Work experience and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
* Work experience with CAT software (stenoscriptionists)
* Excellent grammar, spelling and punctuation skills
* Ability to sit for extended periods of time and accurately transcribe, verbatim, multi-party interview recordings
* Proficiency in internet searching
