This is a good opportunity anyone who resides in VA, MD, DC area or willing to relocate to one of this area. Contract is for 2 yrs, possible 3 yrs. If living in VA, they can work out of our site, if in MD we can work out work from home option.
Contractor individual will be expected to perform most duties remotely from the SNAP*s worksite or from home. The Personnel will be expected to go on site to meet with Authority staff as needed in order to complete the tasks that they've been assigned.
The position does involve travel between sites in the Baltimore area. Must have valid driver*s license and own transportation. (Pls ask for Travel Policy)
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and coordination and organizational skills. Resumes must demonstrate at least three (3) years experience where these skills were applied.
TO Contractor personnel must have at least eight years of Oracle database administration experience and must possess a certification for Oracle 9i and preferably Oracle 10g.
The TO Contractor personnel must demonstrate a level of expertise in a variety of database technical services, including but not limited to: Oracle RAC and GRID Control, data warehousing, and backup technologies. Additionally, the proposed Contractor personnel must possess expertise in the following but not limited to:
o * Knowledge of Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 Server
o * Knowledge and experience with the latest Oracle Security patches and threats,
o * Knowledge and experience in Oracle 8i, Oracle 9i and 10g and their management packs
o * Knowledge and experience with Active Directory
o * Knowledge of Security and network components.
o * Advanced knowledge and experience with OEM tools (8i, 9i and 10g)
o * Knowledge and experience in creating scripts for backing up data
o * Knowledge of Oracle RAC
o * Knowledge of TCP/IP and DNS
o * Advanced knowledge of SMTP
