Company Brief: Our client is the technology leader in sales force deployment software, offering consulting services and software products that address the sales and marketing challenges of Fortune 1000 companies. Started in the mid 1980's, they provide a suite of complimentary services and products that address the full sales force deployment process, from account profiling, promotional response and sales force sizing to territory optimization, territory realignment, and call scheduling or zoning. A small company with large company benefits, they seek a software development manager to lead a new product offering into the market.
Job Description: Reporting to the President, the software development manager will be an accomplished systems developer, well grounded in Data warehouses, preferably spatially enable, with back-end engines using Oracle, SQL or mySQL; Desktop or Web-based GIS development with systems like MapInfo, MapX, MapXtreme, Envinsa or ESRI ArcGis Server or Engine; Software Development platforms and languages like J2EE, .Net, Java or C++; and Web servers like IIS or Apache. Experience with systems in the sales or marketing support arena would be helpful. The candidate we seek will have a track-record of migrating similar platforms into web-enabled, thick and thin client systems. We seek an accomplished professional, one that will take a hands-on leadership role in the migration process. Annual base compensation will be from $90k on up depending upon experience. Qualifications: 10 years software development experience with five years in data warehouses, desktop or web-based GIS systems; software development platforms and web servers as identified above. Three years of migrating enterprise systems into web-enabled systems. A Computer Science or Software Engineering degree is required, Master s degree preferred.
Location: The Corporate office is located in Ashburn, VA. The successful candidate will work from their home office but will need to be located within a reasonable distance of Ashburn, VA to support regular meetings.
