Responsibilities:
Prospect for and close key revenue generating partnerships that provide a channel to local businesses (including, without limitation, franchise systems, product manufacturers, advertising agencies and resellers) as well as other strategic partnerships. Meet and exceed set revenue goals. Develop and maintain senior executive level relationships with prospects, new and existing clients and partners. Negotiate terms of and manage contractual agreements with all partners and clients. Inform sales and marketing strategies to generate revenue. Manage subordinates on business development team, and manage internal and external legal and other professional service providers. Represent company to industry and financial community in meetings, presentations, industry tradeshows, and conferences. Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred. 7+ years of experience in business development and/or sales operations at media-related or B2B company. Internet-based a plus. 5+ years of directly managing and building teams Proven values based selling ability and track record sourcing and closing revenue generating partnerships. Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking and financial modeling skills. Aptitude to understand cultural business nuances, to conduct business effectively in international markets. Capability to build, organize and implement company strategies and processes. Ability to motivate and inspire others in company across functional lines. In particular, ability to relate well and motivate others on product and creative sides of business. Act as team or project lead and manage day-to-day operations of business development team. Strong understanding of related functions in the organization. Ability to leverage resources from outside the business development group efficiently and effectively. Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
