Java Sr Web Developer

Senior Web Developer role entails the design, implementation and unit testing of web based applications that utilize Java, JSP, JavaScript, XML, HTML/xHTML, CSS, Oracle and related technologies on a Unix platform. Our web applications are consumer facing and must be highly scalable, secure, robust and user friendly. A high attention to detail, quality and reliability is a requirement.

Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills. The role entails the collecting, documenting and analysis of business and technical requirements. The role also requires the conceptualization and documentation of software designs. An understanding of code reuse techniques, trade-offs and implication is a must. The ability to read, analyze, refactor and change existing code is a must.

Candidates must be able to manage tasks/timeframes and to meet deadlines in a fast paced, challenging and fun technical environment.

The assignment is a "virtual office work at home " arrangement with a 4 month initial duration.
