Armstrong World Industries is currently seeking to fill an Installation Sales Specialist to support our South Central Region. In support of Armstrong Building Products, This person leads the sale of ABP's products and programs through distributors to contractors.
Armstrong Building Products (ABP) is a worldwide leader in manufacturing and marketing acoustical ceilings and suspension systems for commercial and residential applications. The business mix is nearly 90-percent commercial, with approximately two-thirds in improvement projects and the balance in new construction, which includes offices, healthcare, education, retail, transportation and other segments. The residential market, more than 10-percent, is primarily in home improvement and remodeling projects. ABP is the most geographically diverse business at Armstrong, supported by regional manufacturing and local sales organizations around the world.
Reporting to dsfasd, this person will promotes, demonstrate, and sell Armstrong ceiling and suspension systems/grid systems [ceiling, wall, and drywall grid] to architects, specifiers, contractors, owners and distributors. In additional this person will analyze, develop and specify appropriate solutions to installation problems and needs. Within the market, and the regional sales team, the installation systems specialist is the expert the go to person for ceiling/grid installation issues, questions, problems and solutions. tracks and participates in team selling on top opportunities and major projects (Pro-active). He/she drives conversions on standard and specialty ceilings and suspension items with our target customer base.
Responsibilities include:
Driving specifications and sales of ceilings/suspension systems through analyzing and meeting customers needs and solving customers problems.
Identifying opportunities/problems/needs/solutions through relationships with customers, the ability to read blueprints, and frequent visits to job sites to work with contractors to understand their issues and to coach/train them re: Armstrong systems.
Investigating claims and complaints, and recommending solutions.
Functioning as the regional sales team expert re: installation solutions coaches and trains teammates, participates on sales calls as required.
Networking with other installation systems specialists, Installation School consultants, contractors and reps to identify, share and apply best practices.
Tracking and participating in team selling on top opportunities and major projects ;driving conversions on standard and specialty ceilings and suspension items with our target customer base.
Education and/or Experience
Four-year college degree or equivalent industry/functional experience
Demonstrated ability to read/analyze blueprints for problems/opportunities
Demonstrated communications skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide range of customers and teammates, e.g., contractors, owners, distributors, architects, specifiers, designers, rep teammates, sales manager, Installation Consultants, peers

Travel to job sites, customer meetings/sales calls, and sales team meetings

Maintain process compliance re: safety, job tracking, opportunity management, pricing, claims, continuous learning, and Armstrong Code of Conduct.
Sales Incentive:
100% on regional sales performance grid sales (50%) and drywall grid sales (50%)
