Playing a pivotal role as a Health Coach working at our offices in Columbia, MD, you will work with members telephonically to identify medical/behavioral symptoms, inform members of treatment options, provide education to members &families, coordinate interventions where appropriate and perform related tasks in striving to improve each individual s well-being.
As an RN with 5 years of experience in behavioral health, you ve long devoted yourself to helping others. At Magellan Health Services, we offer an opportunity that will enable you to continue doing so with a flexible schedule.
Program hours: 9am-8pm Monday-Friday and 10am-2pm on Saturday
Work from home option after 90 days post-training
Qualified candidates should possess RN licensure or medical social worker with LCSW-C and 5 years post-degree experience in behavioral health. Expertise in behavioral health disease management specific to conditions management is vital, along with the ability to identify medical &behavioral symptoms and common misdiagnoses. Background should also include an understanding of medical tests performed on members, knowledge of co-morbid disease risk factors, proficiency in pharmacology and the ability to understand disease inflection points to capitalize on clinical windows of opportunities. This position requires phone and computer skills.
