Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated individual with experience in Sales and Marketing to assist in the re-positioning of an historic property. The ideal candidate will be an energetic leader, hands-on player and creative thinker focusing on performance and fun!
This person will work along with the General Manager to lead the sales effort, make outside sales calls, obtain key business accounts, conduct site tours, oversee catering services and drive hotel revenues. Individual will also be responsible for promotional materials that will reposition this quaint Historic Inn, located in a beautiful small town, into a rate leader and community landmark.
This person will maintain communication with the General Manager and Corporate staff to include weekly revenue meetings, action plans and sales activity logs. The ability to network with community leaders, existing and perspective clients is a top priority for growing revenues.
The chosen candidate:
* Develops and maintains relationships with key clients in order to produce group business, to include room sales, food &beverage sales, catering/banquet services.
* Monitors sales activities/performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan and to accurately report variances/projections.
* Coordinates with other team members to provide exceptional customer service as promised by the sales office.
*Develops and maintains good relationships with representatives of local community groups and companies. .
Job Requirements: * Five years experience in hotel sales and two years supervisory experience desirable
* Negotiation skills
* Working knowledge of computers
* Present a professional appearance and confidence
* Ability to communicate effectively with public
