Seeking a high end, long term, freelance, Graphic Designer with Flash, for a household name in traditional, global, banking located in Manhattan. You will be working on various marketing collateral. Ideally you will have a strong background managing your own projects and creating graphics for investment firms, insurance companies or consumer products within a large corporation. You will be experienced with creating graphics for marketing collateral such as; logos, mailers, year end reports, magazines, print ads, t-shirts, flyers, e-commerce and random promotional items. Ideally you could take on a project like the year end reports and annuals and hit the ground running. You need to be a self starter with exceptional maturity and require minimal supervision. You must have exceptional communication skills in order to communicate your ideas clearly and with confidence and flexibility to meet the vision, goals and directions of upper management and the company at large. You may be asked to come up with several concepts for each project while adhering to the pre-established corporate branding guidelines. Creativity and professionalism are key, in addition to comfortablitiy with working in a fast paced and stimulating environment. Ideally you will have 3-5 years of experience in Graphics and Production within above mentioned Financial, Insurance or similar corporate environments/fields.
Flash skills required would include, being able to convert current established graphics, into Flash which would then need to be burned to discs in order to distribute them world wide, in efforts to establish and maintain branding continuity with all outposts of the corporation. Also the ability to create Flash promotional e-mail files to communicate company programs and policies. The Flash need is essential as there are many Flash programs in the pipeline that need to be created or converted. It would be a big plus if you also have the capability to work from home if needed. For the right person there may be potential to work from home or possibly working after regular business hours, they have flexibility here. The key factor is being able to self manage the workload and be a creative Flash guru.
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Quark, Illustrator, Flash, In Design and MS Office Suite are required.
Possession of a Graphics degree is favored, A BFA or MFA would be a big plus.
