Description
Would you like to work from home on a contract, 1099 part time basis conducting onsite application training to customers? Do you enjoy overnight travel and maintaining a flexible work schedule?
For the past 20 years, Follett Software Company has pioneered integrated, intuitive and powerful computer-based solutions designed to streamline the business of education, helping schools and districts manage key resources, reduce costs and redirect savings toward instruction.
Because of our continued growth, FSC is offering multiple, nationwide Application Trainer positions. These positions are part-time and home-based. Candidates need to reside near or have transportation to a major airport. This is a 1099 contract position and does not provide any company benefits.
Onsite Contract Trainer
Chicago, IL
This is a part-time, work at home Onsite Contract Trainer with overnight travel involved. This person will conduct on-site application training for Follett Software customers.
Requirements
Extensive public speaking and training experience with large and small audiences with consistently favorable results
Solid knowledge of the Windows and/or Macintosh computers and operating systems
Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products
Familiarity and high comfort level using the Internet in a training environment
Year-round flexibility/availability for several days at a time and a willingness to travel
Excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Willingness to learn new applications in a timely manner
Successful completion of a two week Training/Apprenticeship/Certification program, conducted at Follett Software Company in McHenry, Illinois
Knowledge of Oracle application highly desirable but not required
Training experience is highly desirable
Library experience is a plus but is not required
Home office environment Internet (high speed required) and separate phone line
Laptop (Minimum specifications will be provided upon request)
