Biostatistician (Part Time Contract) Job Description:
Our client's mission is to develop innovative treatments that will improve the lives of patients with lung disease, by maintaining our commitment to scientific excellence and the highest quality standards. The company is conducting research in the fields of tissue repair, drug delivery, and surfactants.
They are currently looking for a qualified Biostatistician Contractor to join their team. The Biostatistician must have experience in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry. Biostatistician Description:
Principal point of contact for guidance and direction on statistical methodology. Responsible for appropriate statistical output and analyses, including interpretation and communication of results.
Description:
- Provide statistical expertise and leadership in product development
- Develop and implement SOPs/systems for biostatistical responsibilities; integrating with data management and clinical operations systems
- Provide statistical strategy and input into clinical protocols and CRFs
- Critically review Data Management Plans and annotated CRFs
- Work cooperatively with Data Management staff to ensure seamless transition of database output to SAS/statistical datasets; ensure employment of CDISC standards; ensure validated statistical output
- Prepare Statistical Analysis Plans and data dictionaries for analysis datasets
- Program and QC Tables, Listings and Graphs/Figures; prepare statistical output of study data including integrated statistical summaries (ISS, ISE)
- Interpret statistical results; provide statistical consultation; communicate and represent results within the company and at regulatory meetings; draft statistical methods sections of reports, summaries and manuscripts
- Provide statistical support to Pre-clinical/R&D staff as needed
- Perform tasks as assigned by supervisory management
Requirements
- Statistics PhD with 3 years of pharma/biotech experience or statistics MS with 8 years of pharma/biotech experience
- Proficient in SAS and clinical data processing
- Extensive knowledge of FDA &ICH statistical regulatory standards
- Experience with CTD formatted NDA/BLA submissions
- Excellent written and verbal skills, fluency in English
- Ability to prioritize and problem-solve
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
