Position Summary:
Directs the activities of the Technical Services Department in the management of computer operating systems, hardware and software technology evaluation, development of technical computer programming systems, database administration and providing technical support to AgVantis customers. Directs the evaluation and recommendation of technical software, all mainframe hardware and personal computer software standards. Directs the development and testing of business recovery plans. Functions as Information Security Officer and directs activities related to physical and data security.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education including a Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, business administration or a related field. Experience of approximately 7-10 years in computer operating systems software and systems analysis and design, including at least 5 years in supervisory positions. Knowledge of information systems analysis and design and development; operating systems software; microcomputer systems; communication systems. Skill in oral, written and interpersonal communication; project management; operating systems software management; short and long-range planning; budgeting; administration; supervision. Ability to research and prepare technical reports; maintain confidential information; work at home on-call when required; travel on a limited basis in performance of job.
