Description

Manufacturer of composite materials seeks a Technical Sales professional to drive business development in the Eastern coastal states. This company works closely with Department of Defense customers to develop materials that meet their specific application needs. If you are experienced in Business Development to DoD customers, and have knowledge of composite plastic materials, I invite you to call me.

As Territory Sales Manager, you will develop sales opportunities to a customer base that includes Department of Defense, naval contractors, shipyards and tooling houses along the Eastern seaboard.

- You will assume responsibility for existing accounts, and work to develop new customers and business opportunities to increase the company s presence in this market.

- You will develop contacts with customers and contractors to get the company s materials specified in to various projects.

- You will travel to customer sites to meet essential personnel as needed to drive sales.

- You will attend trade shows and association meetings as necessary.

- You will assist in resolution of customer questions, complaints and concerns where necessary.

- You will work from a home office.

This is an expansion position, and reports to the Vice President of Sales.

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

- Bachelor s Degree required. Engineering or other technical degree a strong plus. Marketing or Business degree with appropriate experience will be considered.

- 5 Years minimum outside Sales experience, selling technical product.

- Must have experience selling to Defense, naval shipyard, government, or related industry.

- Must have experience with a specification type sales process.

- Knowledge of composite materials strongly preferred. Knowledge of other related technical materials, components, systems will be considered.

- Must be able to travel 60%.

- Personal characteristics necessary include drive, focus, integrity.
