Would you like to be a Systems Engineer Consultant for a solid Chicago Area based Consulting Firm that focuses on solutions-oriented professional IT services company for enterprise, mid &small size clients in the Suburbs of Chicago and downtown?
Title: Systems Engineer Consultant
Contract to hire to start (3 6 months contract hire): 25 an hour up to 50 an hour 1099 and or individual corp. to corp. (Depending On Exp.)
Salary: 50k base up to 60-65k depending on experience and bonus

Location: Clients are close to Northwest Suburbs (some are close by Barrington). Must be willing to drive out to clients 2 -3 times a week and then you have the ability to work from home when you are not on client site.
Description:
Work on client sites as a Systems Engineer Consultant and have the ability to be home based. 40% travel to client sites (2-3 days a week stopping by sites and the rest working from home).

Provides a clear focus within these practice areas: Network Services, Security, Support, Application, Internet, Product, Disaster Recovery, Regulatory, for small, mid size and enterprise businesses located in the Suburbs and Downtown (clients right now mainly located in the Northwest Suburbs close to Barrington.

Required Skills:
Must have excellent verbal &written skills
3-5 yrs IT industry experience preferred with Systems Engineer experience.
Must have own vehicle for travel to customer sites.
General knowledge of:
Vmware (must have Vmware experience!)
Network/Server/Security systems
DNS
Exchange Server
SQL Server(it would be ideal if you had some SQL Exp)
Windows 2000 &2003 environments
ISA Server
T1 routers
Switches
Disaster Recovery
web server
Computer Hardware and Software
Citrix, Wyse terminal, &VOIP experience a plus
Up to 40% local travel and remaining time can work from home if preferred
A good amount of the clients are in the Northwest Suburbs (close to Barrington)
Desired Qualities Include:
Ability to interface with Client as a Systems Engineer Consultant
The Ability to Interface with Corporate Management
Desired Skills:
Certifications are a plus, MCSE, CCIE
Non-Tech Skills:
Excellent Communication Skills
