- Capacity/resource planning and coordination of services provided by
both datacenters including monitoring and remote servicing.
- Network design, configuration, maintenance and planning including IP
address capacity/planning and MikroTik RouterOS firewall configuration.
- Failover and disaster recovery planning and management of Foundry ServerIron configuration, GSLB DNS configuration, and DNS.
- Server software/OS installation, maintenance and upgrades (Windows
2000/20003 server, Antivirus, Firewall, VPN, etc.)
- MySQL maintenance, upgrades as well as execution of replication and
backup strategy.
- Scripting for task automation or related tasks.
- IIS/Tomcat administration
- CVS repository maintenance
- Manage data center license agreements
- Proficiency in the use of LANs, PCs, Windows Server, IIS, ISAPI, MySQL, SMTP, and CVS required
Job Description:
Install, configure, and maintain, server operating systems and applications for a web applications delivery environment. Monitor and maintain data centers, enterprise resources, file shares, backups, data storage, etc. Recognize and troubleshoot problems with server hardware, OS, and applications software. Monitor network and systems for performance, security, and global site failover. Establish and document standards and procedures.
Ensure consistent operations of two server clusters each consisting of one Foundry SLB, two MiktoTik FW, and seven Windows 2000/2003 servers.
Though this position is a "work at home" opportunity for the right individual, the position will require hands-on network and systems administration, as well as coordination of resources throughout multiple data centers.
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and a minimum four (4) years experience as a Systems/Network Engineer (Administrator).
