SQL Server DBA Consultant
Client is looking to hire/contract a (Junior) Database Consultant to provide scalability, high availability, migration and consolidation expertise on the Microsoft SQL Server platform. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of enterprise database administration experience, with 3 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server. Some experience in administering large-scale (200 GB to multi-terabyte) database architectures. A Bachelor s Degree is Computer Science is preferred. The candidate should be a self-starter with strong leadership, professionalism and responsible qualities. The successful candidate should have the ability to work well with aggressive deadlines and minimal supervision. Strong writing skills are required. The position includes a good amount of travel. Client is located in the Metro DFW area, but employees can live anywhere where frequent travel can be accomplished. Employee can work from home when not on the road if they are not local to the area. The atmosphere is casual but extremely professional and demanding. Hours are flexible and the bonus potential is excellent.
Required Skills:
SQL Server 2000/2005, DB Optimization and Tuning, experienced with SQL Server and Windows Monitoring tools.
Non-Tech Skills:
Must have excellent verbal and communication skills.
