We are currently looking for Technical Integration Consulting candidates for our Insurance Practice. We have both full-time employment and contract opportunities available.

Salary range $100-120k per year
Contract range $85 - 90 per hour
Location: Following an initial training period in CA Technical Consultants will travel from their homes directly to the client site. Travel is usually Monday through Thursday. Consultants will work from their home office on Friday. Travel should be assumed to be every week, although occasional "work at home weeks" are available with some clients.
Consultants will work with proprietary software at client implementation sites. The application is an open standard J2EE compliant application. Deployments are either an Oracle or SQL/Server RDBMS in a TomCat or Websphere environment.
Key activities for technical integration consultants include:
* partnering with client business teams to understand business objectives and integration requirements
* developing an overall integration architecture for the client
* producing technical design documents for integration programs
* estimating the effort required to build necessary integration programs
* working with the development team to further develop our integration adapters and other integration mechanisms
* developing custom integration programs to connect client*s applications with other internal and external systems
* coaching and mentoring customer team members working on integration programs
* planning integration testing and performance testing of customer solutions
* supporting execution of integration tests, including monitoring software incidents and communicating software issues
Required skills/experience - all:
* Professional consulting experience or equivalent business experience in a technical role (minimum of 3 years for Sr. Technical Integration Consultant)
* Expertise in a modern programming language (Java preferred)
* Experience with multi-tier web applications
* Ability to work successfully with client team members
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Experience in full-lifecycle software implementation projects
* Experience developing technical specifications and implementing those specifications through a combination of custom programming and product configuration
* Demonstrated ability to design, program, test, and deploy complicated integration software
* Ability to work with engineers to review technical designs and participate in code reviews
* Flexible, enthusiastic approach to work including a strong desire to learn about new applications and a new business domain
* 5 years' relevant experience (10 years for Senior Integration Architect)
* Demonstrated track record as a consulting team lead or a technical lead
* Experience coaching and mentoring teammates
* Understanding of technical design approaches
Desired skills/experience:
* Background at a major consulting firm working with Fortune 500 customers
* Prior experience with configurable software such as Peoplesoft, Siebel, or SAP
* Knowledge of policy, billing, or claim processes within an insurance company
* Experience with Scrum or other Agile development methodologies
