Job Description .
LPKF Laser &Electronics is an equipment manufacturer specializing in laser systems for electronics production and plastic welding. Publicly traded on the Frankfurt stock exchange, with a gross revenue of 41 million Euro in 2006, LPKF is based in Garbsen, Germany with North American headquarters located in Wilsonville, Oregon. The primary focus of this position requires a sales person to represent our company's laser plastic welding division to automotive companies in the Detroit area. As this business segment continues to grow in the automotive market segment, further travel in North America will also be required for medical and consumer product markets. This position will initially require a sales person to work from home to schedule meetings and deliver presentations to automotive companies in the Detroit area.
Job Requirements
Successful applicants must be self motivated, willing to travel domestically and internationally, and have at least 2 years of sales experience (preferably in the plastic, automotive, or laser technology), as well as a 4-year degree. Initial training will require travel to the HQ in Germany. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are a must, as well as proficiency with computers. Any technical background is a plus.
