The Client is looking for individuals currently residing in the Southeast United States. While there is flexibility of State location, there is a high level of travel associated with this position, therefore close proximity to a major airport is important.
Opportunity:
This role is all about bringing together business acumen, technical skills and leadership qualities to build complex large-scale infrastructure solutions. It requires both broad and deep technology knowledge, and the ability to architect a solution by mapping a customer's business problem to an end-to-end technology solution. Working with customers, either leading a team of skilled individuals or independently, you'll work on critical fast-paced engagements designing, implementing, integrating and customizing key end-to-end solutions, in the areas of Enterprise Infrastructure, Mail and Messaging, IT Consolidation, Systems Management and Security, with a primary focus on Microsoft Technologies. Utilizing your consulting skills and defined project methodologies, you will work closely with customers, translating their business and technical requirements into a design/ solution, develop and execute the roadmap for solution implementation while delivering total customer satisfaction.
Ideal Candidate profile:
Minimum Qualifications:
* A BS/MS in computer science or equivalent Experience
* 7+ years Technology related experience with 4+ years of Consulting experience with increasing responsibility for positioning and delivering Microsoft infrastructure solutions.
* Strong knowledge and experience with Large-scale Design and Implementation in several of the following technical areas would be expected:
Exchange 2003
Exchange 12
Notes-to-Exchange migrations
Groupwise-to-Exchange migrations
Exchange upgrades - Messaging Business Continuity &Availability
Messaging Consolidation
Secure Messaging
Messaging Archiving
Messaging Shared Services
Hosted Exchange
Mobile Messaging
Live Communications Server
ADSI and Exchange scripting
Windows Active Directory
* Demonstrated ability to perform the roles of: Infrastructure Solution Architect, Subject Matter Expert, Project Technical Lead (Mid-Large sized projects)
* Advanced knowledge in key Microsoft Technologies for the following areas of specialization: Infrastructure Architecture, Messaging - Migration and Deployment, Operations Management, Security, Consolidation
* Proven Leadership Experience on large projects/teams
* Team Player with the ability and willingness to motivate, teach, train, caoch and mentor other consultants
* Communicate effectively with customers at all levels. Proficient in English
* Manage and maintain good customer relationships - Interpersonal sensitivity and customer responsiveness
* Excellent knowledge of the IT environment and its future trends
* Ability to communicate complex technical contents plainly and simply
* Strong consulting skills, flexibility and resourcefulness
* Business Development skills: Identify new opportunities, work closely with Sales and Account teams; develop/present proposals and Statements of Work
* Knowledge Management skills: Create, share and re-use intellectual capital
* Work with minimal direct supervision or guidance from others.
Desirable/Preferred Qualifications:
* Project Management skills a plus
* Ability to listen carefully and extract key issues
* Conflict resolution and negotiation skills/experience
* Solid solution architecture skills/experience
* Workshop facilitation with executive level participation
* Ability to socialize and generate consensus for new ideas and to overcome resistance
