This is a direct-hire position with our client. Initially you will be onsite in Rockville, MD and then be required to travel Mon-Thurs based on project.
Opportunities exist to partly work from home depending on project you are on.

This position is for a senior J2EE web developer.
The person will be expected to have been in a mid to senior web developer role on a minimum of 3 large-scale enterprise Java Web projects.
You be responsible for creation of concept, prototype design, code/design, testing and maintenance of web applications
Should be able to understand and apply J2EE security, concurrency, transactions, session management, J2EE patterns, and frameworks to application solutions based on past experience.
Should be able to troubleshoot and develop in a complex technical environment using JAVA technologies integrated to legacy systems and complex web integration development projects.
**Responsibilities:
Develop and troubleshoot advance applications using J2EE technologies and open source frameworks such as JSF, Spring, and Hibernate.
Design JAVA components using JAVA and J2EE design patterns
Design and develop web services using IBM WebSphere tools.
Design, code and implement Role-based security applications
Produce excellent, thorough, design and development documentation
Able to work well in a team environment interacting with J2EE Architect, Web developers, administrators, management, graphic designers, QA and engineering team
Perform source code control using CVS.
Develop applications using Rational Application Developer
Responsible for application performance tuning and code review
Work with limited supervision under tight time constraints with changing requirements
Provide technical support and guidance for post release production systems
Qualifications/Requirements:
-5+ years of full software life cycle industry experience including implementing applications in production
-3+ years of JAVA development experience
-Through understanding of J2EE technologies and their practical application
-Strong object oriented architecture and programming skills and good knowledge of common design patterns
-Demonstrable and hands on experience with the core J2EE technologies such as Servlet, JSPs, JDBC, EJB
-Hands on experience with JSF, Spring, and Hibernate
-Hands on experience with Web Services.
-3+ years experience with UNIX/LINUX, Windows
-Good communications skills
-B.S. /M.S. in C.S or related field or equivalent experience
Pluses:
-Hands on experience with Websphere
-AJAX technologies and frameworks
-Experience in integrating J2EE security with LDAP
-PL/SQL programming and Oracle stored procedures
-JAVA certification(s)
