Job Description .
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The IT Specialist is a generalist that possesses strengths in technologies that are critical to the Work from Home (WFH) business model. The IT Specialist will research, develop and implement strategies to overcome the unique challenges presented by the WFH business model. The position involves client-facing activities and interaction. Applicant must be able to communicate complex concepts effectively to prospective and existing client meetings.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for overcoming all technology based challenges in day-to-day WFH operations
Responsible for development of thin-client strategy for off site workers
Responsible for security of client programs in the WFH environment
Responsible for porting popular client CRM applications to thin-client environment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Must be proficient in thin-client technologies
Must have strong CRM application background, i.e. Siebel, Remedy, Vantive, Kana, Onyx, etc.
Must have experience working directly with vendors
Extensive knowledge of Windows imaging techniques
Extensive knowledge of current thin-client technologies including XP embedded
Excellent communicator with all levels of staff, both verbally and in writing
Ability to work on concurrent multiple tasks
Ability to make clear executive presentations
Ability to effectively plan and collaborate with others
Build generation
Build upgrades
Cross-OS platform compatibility testing
Engineering and QA documentation
MCSE or equivalent certification required.
BS in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience is required
