Job Description:
Immediate opening for an experienced DB2/UDB DBA This is a long-term WORK-FROM-HOME contract position . Compensation is hourly as a non-benefitted w2 employee or 1099 - please provide your hourly rate requirement with your resume to apply. No 3rd parties or visa sponsorship candidates please This is a senior level position and will be responsible for the physical administration of DB2 databases on Unix and Windows distributed environments, as well as providing technical advise, oversight, and recommendations for improvements. REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 3 years experience solid and recent experience providing physical administration and support of DB2 on UNIX and Windows platforms. Must have excellent database problem determination and resolution skills.
Must have extensive experience in database performance tuning, backup &recovery, reorgs, implementation of new databases, maintenance for existing databases, implementation and maintenance of security, and database monitoring activities.
