Our client is a Houston-based global petroleum and fuel commodity trading firm. Due to significant growth, this company is searching for a Crude Oil Trader to join the Houston office.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Crude Oil Trader will be responsible for:
Profitably running, in a risk prudent way, an active trading book in crude oil and related products.
Obtaining and maintaining supplier and customer relationships in addition to sourcing and selling opportunities for assigned products from the local and regional markets.
Pursuing new business development opportunities, and assisting and participating in strategic and tactical commercial decision making.
Providing continuous market intelligence on supply and demand market conditions regarding volumes, prices, competition, dynamics, etc.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in physical trading of crude oil and related commodities such as: blended gasoline, fuel components, distillates, or natural gas liquids.
Experience trading in crude oil and / or related petroleum commodities.
Minimum of 3 years of current work experience with a successful track record of commercial experience including product sourcing and/or selling, contract negotiation and significant profit and loss responsibility for a related product or product group.
A results-oriented performer who is calculating, intuitive and creative, with a record of taking full advantage of market conditions to optimize commercial opportunities.
COMPENSATION:
Estimated first year compensation $200K per year (base and bonus).
Long-term, unlimited upside potential.
Paid relocation.
Protection of year-to-date accrued bonus will also be considered.
MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
B.S. degree
