Role Summary .
Analyzes corrected claims submitted by DME providers and Medicare beneficiaries for determination of coverage or non-coverage and adjusts or upholds denied claims based on Medicare rules and regulations. Interacts with customers verbally and in writing to resolve claim errors or omissions and to investigate disputed entries. .
Responsibilities .
* Reopen previously processed claims and send written responses when appropriate.
* Stay informed of all changes and updates to claims processing guidelines to make informed decisions when adjusting claims.
* Resolve online claim processing edits.
* Work closely with other production and support areas to ensure all requests are answered timely and accurately.
* Achieve or exceed all production and quality standards.
* Record all closed cases for tracking and trending analysis.
* Exhibit a winning attitude. .
Qualifications .
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Claim processing and adjudication experience is desired.
* Applicants must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent data entry skills are required.
* The position requires positive energy, the skill to motivate others, and the ability to execute with a passionate commitment to success.
* Previous customer service skills in a call center environment are a plus.
* Must demonstrate excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
* This is a full time position with the opportunity to work from home and the possibility of flexible work arrangements after successfully completing trainee period.
* This position will require 2-4 weeks of training and during this time no time off is allowed.
* Hours of operation are flexible and range from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. .
