Job Description:
Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Cerner Charge Services Specialist to join our West Coast based healthcare team.
This is a virtual position where you will be working from home when not traveling. Up to 50% travel around the West Coast will be required.
Job Responsibilities:
Participate in the implementation of Cerner Millennium applications for 26 hospitals.
Responsible for leading the charge services implementation for all hospital services.
Facilitate design workshops with hospital clinical and revenue services management teams.
Develop and implement charge auditing processes and procedures.
Develop training materials and training curriculum as related to charge services.
Develop and document charge services testing scenarios; participate in application testing and system validation.
Interact with multiple implementation teams to support the build of PharmNet, PathNet, RadNet and Patient Care applications.
Required Skills:
5 years hospital charge services and/or billing experience
2 years Cerner Millennium charge services and or ProFit application experience
Knowledge of hospital charge services regulations and requirements including CMS and CPT coding
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to manipulate data using Excel
Excellent oral and written skills
Desired Skills:
Experience with other Cerner Millennium applications
Prior system implementation and/or support experience
Minimum Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
Cerner certification desired
*Associate must be base on the West Coast. 50% travel will be required*
